BT50 TF 3.0L | STAGE 2 | TOW

Transform your Mazda BT50 3.0L TF with our Stage 2 Package upgrade, designed to enhance overall performance, Sound and reliability.

Step 1: Baseline Dyno Assessment
The process begins with our skilled technician setting your vehicle up on our dynamometer for a baseline dyno run. This crucial step ensures everything is functioning correctly and allows us to gather standard performance figures to compare against after the upgrades are complete.

Step 2: Transmission Cooling System Enhancements
These days most vehicle manufactures either run the transmission oil through a heat exchanger that is cooled by coolant used by the engine or run through the bottom tank of your radiator. This can have an impact on the engines cooling system and transmission temps when everything is working hard. The other issue being when either of these systems fail it can be quite detrimental and expensive when you have the two fluids mix together.

HPD’s oil to air transmission coolers have been designed and tested to provide stable transmission temperatures under the toughest conditions. Our bar and plate construction ensure that these cores will hold up in extreme environments under intense towing loads and still provide cool and stable transmission oil temperatures.

Step 3: Exhaust System Upgrade
We then proceed with the installation of a Manta DPF Back Exhaust. This upgrade is designed to reduce back pressure, enhance exhaust flow, and provide a more aggressive sound while adhering to emissions regulations.

Step 4: ECU Custom Tuning
The upgrade culminates in a custom ECU tune. Using the latest tuning software, we perform real-time adjustments on the dynometer to maximize your vehicle’s power, torque, and fuel efficiency.

Step 5: Road Testing and Final Adjustments
After the dyno tuning, we conduct thorough road tests, making any necessary fine-tuning adjustments to optimize your vehicle’s performance and drivability.

Results
Once the upgrade is complete, we provide you with a dyno graph that highlights the power and torque increases achieved through this comprehensive upgrade.

Safety First - We at HPF have a set of tuning guidelines in place that ensures we do not exceed predetermined SAFE air / fuel ratio & boost level parameters; in some cases, the air / fuel ratio is the same as standard. This guideline is in place to provide you with the safest and most reliable result and instead of chasing a maximum power figure, we tune your engine to these SAFE parameters and the increased power is a result of that. As each car is individually tuned on the dyno, the final outcome has been scrutinized and road tested prior to being returned to the customer.

Key Features

The Stage 2 package addresses the next level of components that limit power; generally this will be a Intercooler and associated hardware upgrade along with a DPF exhaust to free up the exhaust note. The Stage 2 upgrade is aimed at maintaining our ‘reliability first protocol’ which maintains safe air fuel ratios and low EGT’s.

Notes

  • Power figures listed are estimated kilowatts at the flywheel based on results typically obtained by HPF on HPF’s dynos. Typically these are based of a manual vehicle with standard driveline and standard wheels and tyres. Actual power can vary based on each specific vehicle.
  • We advise against increasing the power output substantially on high kilometer engines, if your engine has in excessive of 150,000kms please contact us to discuss options.
  • Whilst every attempt is made to ensure prices listed online are correct, they are subject to change at any time.
  • Additional parts may be required in some cases depending on the condition of the vehicle. Cost of these parts and additional labor required may incur additional cost.
