VT-VZ V8 HPF STAGE 6 | 470KW

The HPF VT-VZ Stage-6 upgrade starts with our trained technician setting your vehicle up on our 2WD dynamometer and performing a baseline dyno run. This allows us to firstly make sure everything is working A-OK and secondly it gives us a standard figure from your car to compare to once the upgrade is completed. We then commence the upgrade package by fitting a Harrop HTV-2300 intercooled supercharger kit. The air intake is also replaced as part of the package and the standard air box is removed and replaced with side mounted cold air Induction system with a high flow, serviceable pos style air filter element and a fabricated intake tube, we continue by fitting a new Pacemaker stainless steel dual 3" cat back exhaust system, 4-1 headers (extractors) and high flow metallic catalytic converters all to increase the engine's breathing capabilities and to give it that nice V8 sound we all love! The fuel tank is then removed from the car and the fuel system is upgraded with a 400lp/h drop in fuel module. Once reassembled, we then custom tune your vehicle's ECU on the dyno utilizing the latest ECU tuning software to maximize power and torque and to optimize fuel efficiency. We complete the upgrade process by testing your vehicle on the road to make final adjustments, optimizing your vehicle's performance and driveability. This is all completed in four to five days and at the end of this upgrade you will be provided with a dyno graph detailing the power & torque increase of your vehicle.   • Cold air intake - The side mounted air Induction system with a fabricated 4” intake pipe features a large diameter free-flowing intake path to ensure maximum performance from your LS1 powered vehicle. It features a huge Pod air filter mounted in a custom air box designed to draw air in from below the LH headlight. This design assists in minimizing the restriction of air flow and eliminates the intake of hot air from inside the engine bay.
  • Supercharger – HPF works very closely with Harrop engineering and we are one of only 3 Premium Dealers in Victoria. The HTV-2300 intercooled supercharger utilizes an Eaton 4-lobe rotor design with 160-degree twist and is a positive displacement type compressor made to exacting OEM tolerances. The rotor group is used by manufactures like Chevrolet’s LS9 powered Corvette and the HSV GTS-R W1. Air temperature is offset by the integral water to air intercooler system. The ‘2300’ in the name of the supercharger refers to the amount of air displaced in one revolution of the supercharger, i.e. for every one revolution of the supercharger, 2300cc’s of air is displaced. Harrop products are designed and built in Preston, Victoria.
  • Catback Exhaust system – A ‘Catback’ system is basically all the parts of the exhaust after the catalytic converters. It’s the section of exhaust where all the mufflers are placed and by using larger diameter pipe and high flowing mufflers more performance and better sound is achieved. HPF chooses Pacemaker Exhausts for the VT-VZ Commodore platform. Made in Richmond, South Australia for almost half a century, Pacemaker are synonymous with performance and quality. Pacemaker build a quality stainless steel dual 3” system and some model specific phat tips. The sound is deep and meaningful.
  • Headers & High flow cats – Also known as extractors, we chose a 4-1 design as over the years 4-1 headers have proven their advantage over the tri-y design. 4-1 Headers are offered in a few different sizes for different engine applications or modification levels. The catalytic converters chosen are higher flow and feature 100 cpi (cell per inch) for maximum performance. The catalyst matrix is coated metal so they are built to last. The catback exhaust bolts to the catalytic converters.
  • Dyno Tuning – By optimizing the engine tune parameters in the vehicles PCM to suit 98 octane fuel, we are able to increase both power and torque and maximise fuel economy. Late model naturally aspirated cars are generally tuned very well from the manufacturer so depending on the vehicle platform mechanical parts to improve the engines intake & exhaust flow may need to be added to really get good gains. Engines fitted with a turbocharger from factory are much easier to enhance as increasing boost pressure by tuning works extremely well.
